Hi, I’m Tanya, the founder and owner of TM Insight. I have a master's degree in nursing with a focus in informatics and 20 years of clinical experience.  Health informatics is a field that combines health care information technology and data science to improve patient care, outcomes, and efficiency. 

I am a nurse with a passion for patient care and a keen eye for the details that matter most in healthcare and the legal world. Over the years, I’ve worked in a variety of nursing roles, from bedside care to leadership and informatics (Healthcare Technology), and I’ve seen firsthand how medical decisions impact patients, families, and entire healthcare teams.

That experience inspired me to become a Legal Nurse Consultant (LNC), where I combine my clinical background with my love for critical thinking and problem-solving. I help attorneys understand complex medical records, uncover the real story behind the chart, and make sense of standards of care in challenging cases.

I’m currently completing my Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) in Professional Leadership, which deepens my ability to analyze medical documentation, identify gaps in care, and communicate findings clearly. My goal is always the same: to bring clarity and confidence to cases that hinge on medical details.

Whether I’m supporting a legal team with case reviews, explaining medical terms in plain language, or ensuring the facts line up with evidence-based practice, I love bridging the gap between healthcare and law.
